This is really interesting! I've been following the development of 3D printing for some time now and the idea of a homebuilt SLA printer is really exciting. The precision and quality that SLA printing offers could be a game-changer for makers and hobbyists.

I completely agree! I built my own FDM printer a few years ago and while it was a fun and rewarding experience, I've always wanted to try my hand at SLA. This looks like a great place to start!

Did you build your printer from a kit or did you design and build it from scratch? I'm looking to build my own printer but I'm not sure where to start.

I built mine from a kit, but I've heard that building one from scratch can be a really rewarding experience. There are plenty of resources online to help you get started.

I built mine from scratch and it was a great learning experience. I used a lot of off-the-shelf components and 3D printed a lot of the custom parts. It's definitely a labor of love, but it's so satisfying to see it come together.

SLA printing definitely offers some advantages over FDM, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. Resin can be messy and smelly, and post-processing can be time-consuming. But if you're up for it, the results can be amazing!

I've been working on my own homebuilt SLA printer and I have to say, it's been quite the challenge. But it's also been incredibly rewarding. There's something really satisfying about designing and building something like this from scratch.

I totally agree! I've built a few 3D printers over the years, but my SLA printer is by far my favorite. The level of detail and precision that you can achieve with SLA is really impressive.

I've been thinking about building my own SLA printer for a while now. Do you have any recommendations for where to start? Any particular kits or resources that you found helpful?

I built my printer from a kit, and I would highly recommend it for beginners. There are a lot of great Kits and resources available online. I would start with researching the different types of SLA printers available and finding one that fits your needs and budget. Also I would recommend joining a community or forum of SLA printer enthusiasts, they can really help you with any information or problems you have when building your printer.
