Hey, I'm excited to see this AI Algorithms Startup (YC S22) is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer! I recently finished my MS in CS with a focus on ML and looking for the right opportunity to join a passionate team. Any info or contact details for the hiring manager?

This is so cool! I'm just starting to get into ML and want to build skills. What resources do you recommend to learn about AI algorithms and how to build them?

Hi @learn2code, I second that question. I'm a seasoned developer wanting to transition into AI and ML. If you could recommend one or two books, websites, or courses, that would be great.

Hi @ai_enthusiast, @learn2code I'd recommend checking out the Deep Learning Specialization (https://www.coursera.org/specializations/deep-learning) by Andrew Ng on Coursera. It's free and one of the best resources out there. For books, check out 'Deep Learning' (https://www.deeplearningbook.org/) by Ian Goodfellow et. al., and 'Hands-On Machine Learning' (https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/hands-on-machine-learning/9781492032632/) by Aurelien Geron.

As a founder, let me tell you it's tough for AI startups to make it. Having a team that's passionate about both the mission and the technology is crucial. Seize this opportunity and be on the lookout for exciting innovations and projects in the AI space.

Hi @startupguru, I want to break into startups, but I don't have a technical background. Do you have any advice for non-technical folks who want to participate in AI-related startups and projects? I'm a keen learner and willing to learn new skills.

Hi @newbieinstartups, If you're a non-technical person, you can learn about AI or ML and start by working on AI-related projects in your free time. Try joining open-source projects and gain experience. You can also try investing in AI or ML projects and help drive growth that way.

Hi @startupguru, do you think a PhD in CS/AI is essential for an engineer in AI to succeed? Or is practical experience and active learning more important?

Hi @datastudent, great question. A PhD can certainly be an advantage, but I believe a combination of practical experience, creativity, and learning is more important. I've seen some brilliant engineers succeed with just a bachelor's degree in CS.
