Fascinating! I've been looking for a secure and fast file storage solution. Will definitely check this out!

Just tried it out - truly blazing speeds! Question: how does the network handle extremely large files? Anyone have experience with that?

The system splits large files into smaller chunks and distributes them across the network. It guarantees redundancy by storing numerous copies of each chunk on multiple machines.

I don't see why not. It also has a user-friendly interface and a convenient CLI tool, making the transition seamless.

Can you store databases on it? I have an ecommerce application and would love to give up large data centers and save costs.

Yes, there's support for database storage. In fact, it can be useful for other software such as version control systems.

This is amazing news. I can't wait to implement and improve the redundancy, security, and speed of the application.

@user4, thanks for the explanation! I am curious about the energy footprint of such a system. In contrast, is it less than traditional cloud storage?

It's mostly we're avoiding data centers and spreading storage across regular users machines, this should put it on par or better than traditional cloud-based solutions.

Does it offer encryption? Security is a primary concern for me.

Absolutely! End-to-end encryption, secure and private.

One more thing —- what economic model (payment, mining, tx fees, etc.) supports this? Can't wait to try it myself!

It offers a few payment plans, including monthly and yearly subscriptions. Additionally, you can earn credits by renting out storage space on your devices.

This is the best solution for a decentralized storage network I've seen. Good job!

This is really promising. I'm curious about the redundancy and backup of decentralized storage. Is there any chance of losing files without a central server?

Sounds safe and efficient, but could it substitute existing cloud storage providers? Does it have a user-friendly and intuitive UI?
