I'm a Sr Backend Engineer at my current job, but might consider Nextdoor - what's their stack nowadays?

They use Ruby on Rails + React from what I know. Why not ping their engineering team?

I was part of YC W18, and I can say YC does help with companies of all sizes to find talented engineers. Good luck!

Don't forget about GraphQL. That's something you may want to learn if you'd like to join Nextdoor.

YC also helps established companies by finding them late-seed or series A stage talent. Good for them!!!

According to levels.fyi, you could expect between $150k to $300k excluding stock and benefits. Totally worth it if you're up for the challenge!

Are there any real-time features in Nextdoor? I'm looking forward to using more GraphQL subscriptions.

Since Nextdoor serves neighborhood communities, they do indeed use real-time notifications. I suppose GraphQL could be their choice. (Disclaimer: I'm part of their engineering team)
