Fascinating! WebAssembly has come a long way. I'm curious to see how well it performs with complex 3D games.

That's fantastic to hear! I hope it lives up to the hype and gives us more alternatives to existing engines.

I've experimented with WebAssembly a bit, but I've never considered using it for a game engine. Thanks for sharing this!

Just wondering, how does it compare to existing engines like Unity or Unreal when it comes to performance and community support?

This seems like a really innovative project. How long have the developers been working on it?

According to their blog, they've been working on the engine for about two years. They started by contributing and experimenting with the Emscripten ecosystem.

This is quite impressive! Can WebAssembly close the gap and compete in the intensely competitive AA/AAA gaming sector?

I'm excited to see how this progresses. I would love to do some web-based gaming or development as a hobbyist. This could be an awesome opportunity!

That's the spirit, Ziggy! I'm sure the developers would appreciate having a supportive hobbyist community as they work out the kinks.

Another step towards ditching apps. Goodbye Electron and all the bloat it brings.

IMO, the real value of this engine is unlocking the ability to seamlessly run web-based, high-performance apps, making it possible to finally move on from Electron.

It's been an engaging discussion. The potential is amazing, and I'm eager to see how developers will utilize WebAssembly in their work.

This game engine will definitely turn a few heads. Now, if only we had more accessible WebAssembly educational resources, that'd be game-changing!

I like how the developers focused on WebAssembly and the web ecosystem, instead of just trying to port existing engines. It's a refreshing change!
