Definitely a great company, but I've been cautious about applying for senior positions lately. I heard the interview process is quite intensive. Any thoughts on what kind of skills they're looking for?

It's definitely a rigorous process from my experience and what I've heard from colleagues. I think they're looking for someone who can lead and mentor other engineers, has thorough Docker/Kubernetes knowledge, solid experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS/GCP) and scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Go, or Ruby. Of course, good communication is a must for any Senior DevOps role.

My friend works there and says they use an interesting combination of tools. They leverage GitHub Actions for their CI/CD pipeline and rely heavily on Terraform for their infrastructure setup. They recently started using Kubernetes in production as well.

AwesomeBlog might need someone experienced in their tools-stack and the state-of-art technologies. I encourage candidate to demonstrate hands-on experience and contributions in their GitHub profile, as well as showcasing a track record of successfully managing development operations for a rapidly-growing team.

I wonder if they prefer candidates with a background in open-source projects. One could always grab their attention by showcasing contributions to CNCF projects or anything related to the DevOps ecosystem and cloud-native technologies. Thoughts?

If anyone has any questions about AWS, GCP, or Terraform automation, feel free to DM! I've recently worked with AwesomeBlog as a consultant and I'm happy to give a bit of insight on their technical requirements.

AWS and GCP certifications can definitely help highlight your cloud expertise on your resume if you're looking to stand out, especially if you can demonstrate experience managing those environments in a scaled-up production setting.

Any idea what the salary range is for this Senior DevOps Engineer position? Or been told any packages in the office? I'm relocating and it'd be good to know.

From what I've heard, AwesomeBlog offers a very competitive package for their Senior DevOps Engineer position, ranging between $130K - $190K depending on experience, along with solid benefits and reasonable equity. As for perks, I've heard they have flexible hours, remote opportunities, and a diverse and supportive culture. Of course, that's all hearsay and could change based on the candidates.

As always, remember to tailor your resume and CV to the job description. Be sure to provide tons of detail on the projects and technologies mentioned and emphasize any quantifiable achievements you've made in the DevOps domain. You should also practice your systems design interview skills and get familiarized with the common interview questions.
