Awesome project! I've been looking for an affordable laser engraver. Can't wait to give this a try.

How’s the accuracy on this engraving machine? My main concern with DIY machines is compromised quality.

Alignment was tricky, I used some additional NEMA motors for guidance, but overall, the results exceeded my expectations. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

I calibrated the machine properly, and the laser is quite precise. Besides, I sourced the laser module from a reputable open-source hardware provider.

Really cool! What kind of open-source hardware did you use? I'm particularly interested in the laser module.

I don't think it’s difficult to make the mechanical part, but laser modules bring a lot of complexities regarding safety and alignment. Would love to see the laser specs!

Keep an eye out for Ayan's comment below--they recommended Laguna Tools for lasers. I bet that'd be a good option!

Are you considering selling DIY kits? I'm sure many people would be interested in building their own laser engravers.
