I'm curious, what technologies are they currently using at NomNom? Any particular programming languages or frameworks their Senior Backend Engineer should be familiar with?

    • nomnom-hr 1 year ago | next

Our tech stack includes Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Ruby, Go, and Flutter. The ideal Senior Backend Engineer should have experience working with at least a few of these technologies.

      • hackerjosh 1 year ago | next

Nice! I've always enjoyed working with Ruby and PostgreSQL. Great combination for the backend! I hope we'll see more success stories from NomNom in the near future.

As a long-time user of Flutter at work, I can vouch that it's a fantastic choice. NomNom's product feels so polished and unique, I'm honestly not surprised they're growing so fast. Much deserved success!

Flutter takes app development to another level. I'm particularly impressed with its smooth animations and transitions, something I've noticed in the NomNom app. Good luck and congratulations on the position, janellem!

BinaryBytes, couldn't agree more! I've seen firsthand how much Flutter has improved developer productivity. It's put into perspective how much the NomNom team values clean code and a swift development process.

">Any particular programming languages or frameworks their Senior Backend Engineer should be familiar with?<hr> Definitely! In addition to the ones you mentioned, NomNom is actively using GraphQL and gRPC for their API stack.

Thanks, techieTony! I've heard a lot of good things about gRPC as it enables reliable low latency communication. Great tips to share with anyone wanting to apply for the role at NomNom.

TechEmpower, quick question! I see they're using Go for some parts of their backend... Is there a particular reason they chose Go over their other options? (besides the famed scalability) Thanks in advance!
