Exciting news! I'm looking forward to seeing what the NanoGen team will build with the new hires. YC always has great startups.

Absolutely, I've been following YC's W23 batch and NanoGen seems to be one of the most promising projects in the cohort.

Any idea about the interview process? Thinking of applying, but want to prepare accordingly.

From what I've heard, it's quite challenging. They have a take-home project that demonstrates your software engineering and problem-solving skills.

They also gave me a data science problem to work through, complete with a cute dataset and an expected solution quality.

Looks like they're looking for both SWEs and DSs. Should be an interesting challenge to work on something so new.

Can't wait to see some code samples or open-source demonstration of what they're working on. Would strongly boost my confidence in applying.

@hacking247 I hear you. Normally, YC doesn't allow startups to showcase their work publicly, but NanoGen might get a special pass for this round - let's wait and see!
