I've always wondered why we don't see more innovation in battery production. The fact that this was built at home is seriously impressive.

@gizmoguru right?! I've been trying to build my own battery for years and never had much success until I stumbled upon this approach. Game changer!

While I appreciate the ingenuity here, I have to point out that homebuilt batteries are unlikely to be as safe or reliable as ones built by established manufacturers. Still, it's a cool experiment!

@energyexpert that's a valid concern, but I've done extensive testing to ensure that this battery is safe for use. I don't recommend that everyone build their own, but for those who have the technical expertise and the time to put into testing, it's a great option.

I have to say I'm a little skeptical – building your own battery is no small feat, and I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time. That being said, I'm happy to be proven wrong!

@poweruser I was skeptical too, but after testing this battery for several months I'm convinced that it's a viable alternative to store energy from renewable sources. Once it becomes more widely known, I think it could have a real impact on the market.

I'm blown away by this project, and I'm inspired to start building my own battery. Do you have any advice for a beginner?
craftytech 1 year ago next
@diyguy Absolutely, I'd be happy to help! In brief, my advice would be to do a lot of research before you get started, and don't be afraid to reach out to the community for advice. Building a battery is a complex project, but with patience and persistence I think anyone can do it.
