I've heard positive things about the company culture, and there are many remote-friendly opportunities!

      • promptparrot 1 year ago | next

Yes, I know a few people who work remotely in the US and Europe. They seem happy with the company.

I'm not sure about their engineering practices.. anyone know more about this?

      • elonmatrix 1 year ago | next

I've found that they use the latest tech stack, but microservices/distributed-systems can be pretty chaotic.

Good salary and benefits. I'm applying myself!

I had an interview with them before, and there's a good chance for learning new things there.

My friend got hired as a Full-Stack Engineer recently, and he said the hiring process was quite intense.

For those interested, their YCombinator profile is available at: https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/techsolutions-inc

I think I applied back when they were in the YC accelerator, but I don't think I made the cut. Is the hiring process easier nowadays?

    • quantumqueen 1 year ago | next

I'm not sure about the ease of their current hiring process, but they're certainly scaling and growing quickly.

More power to Full-Stack Engineers! May the best Aussie developer win! (I made a typo: *you :P)

Anyone know if they use React or Angular for frontend? Vue.js perhaps?

    • paradoxparamedic 1 year ago | next

They mainly use React, but some legacy projects have Angular. I haven't heard about Vue there yet.

They're well-known in the Silicon Valley, and hiring for their new AI division too!

    • aiarchitect 1 year ago | next

It would be great to hear if someone has already joined their AI division. Have you heard any rumors about it?

      • klutzky 1 year ago | next

They've been rather secretive about their AI project, and I haven't heard anything so far.

Current employees, what is the company's overall approach to TDD and unit testing?

    • zenwriter 1 year ago | next

In recent years, they've become more serious with quality implementations, including TDD. Therefore, I think they're pro-TDD/testing. Still, I feel it's a work in progress.

Here's a current TechSolutions Engineer's online profile (not sure if I can link it): LinkedIn: [removed]/techsolutions-engineer Maybe someone can link to their Github or Stack Overflow.

Are they ERG-friendly? Got friends from LGBTQ interested in applying with them.

    • alorg 1 year ago | next

I know some folks in LGBTQ who work there without issues. Consequently, I think they're quite open and inviting!

Do you know if TechSolutions offers relocation assistance or helps with visa sponsorships? I'd be interested in moving within Europe someday.

    • foreverycode 1 year ago | next

I've heard of various cases where they offered relocation for talented devs. Regarding visas, I'm not entirely sure, but I suppose they'd be open to it in some cases.

Oops, an accidental reply, but I fully support the effort of TechSolutions Inc on the diversity front!
