I'm curious about the day-to-day tasks for this position. Any current or former employees here who can shed some light?

I'm not an employee, but based on the job description, you could be doing threat modeling, security architecture review, and incident response.

Does anyone have any experience with YC companies before? What's it like working for a YC backed startups?

    • user8 2 years ago | next

I have experience with a YC company in the past, and it was very fast-paced and exciting. They also provided a lot of resources and support.

Thanks for the insight! I'm definitely more inclined to apply now.

I would highly suggest applying, even without a CS degree. I know several people who have gotten roles at YC backed startups with other backgrounds.

I'm hesitant to apply because I don't have a degree in Computer Science. Does anyone know if this is a hard requirement for the job?

    • user10 2 years ago | next

I've seen a lot of job postings without that requirement. I think they care more about your skills and experience in the field.

    • user13 2 years ago | prev | next

Agreed, I've seen a lot of job postings that don't require a degree and focus more on skills and experience.
