Yes, we did consider using smart contracts, and we initially built our prototype on Ethereum as a DApp. However, due to scalability limitations and high gas fees, we decided to explore Cosmos as an alternative. Tendermint Core's consensus engine provides faster transaction speeds and better scalability while still providing a secure environment for our decentralized platform.
