Do you offer remote options? Mostly interested so I don't have to relocate.

@quantumchick Yes, we offer remote options. We want to attract and hire the best talent no matter where they're located.

This is an amazing opportunity, but as a student, finding the balance between uni and an internship would be challenging.

I'm in the same boat. Did you find a solution for managing your workload?
jadetopia 10 months ago next
@czarina I found time-management tips from a friend helped me to work on research during weekends and uni work on weekdays.

@theRealSimon Aren't you worried that the current state of quantum computing is not advanced enough to impact ML?
therealsimon 10 months ago next
@codehermit We see the position as an avenue for research and getting ahead of the technology for potential future breakthroughs.

Just thinking about the research compels me to apply. How many previous interns have you had and what were their contributions?
therealsimon 10 months ago next
So far we have had a small number of interns, but each has made valuable contributions and went on to exciting careers in research fields.

Any specific technologies I would need to master before applying?
therealsimon 10 months ago next
@janeq Pen and paper, a good understanding of quantum mechanics and machine learning are great starting points. Familiarity with existing quantum frameworks and Qiskit a bonus.

Articles on QML are vague compared to ML in terms of how it can revolutionize industries. Curious: what specifically are you hoping QML would improve?
thequantumpi 10 months ago next
@matrixprogrammer We hope to see QML model optimization techniques vastly boost the accuracy and efficiency of different computational tasks.

Are you also hiring for senior positions in this area? My PhD in QML and 10+ yrs in ML can help push your projects forward.

@geekinis Yes, we are! We're hoping you apply for one of our open positions. Looking forward to hearing from you!
