I see AcmeAI is hiring a DevOps Engineer. Their YC W21 cohort must have gone well! Any idea what the team size is currently?

Any specific requirements for the DevOps Engineer position? Looking at the job posting, it seems like they want experience with K8s, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Yes, those are the primary tools we're looking for. Additionally, knowledge of observability tools, Infrastructure-as-code, and GCP would be a PLUS. Experience with Python is appreciated but not necessary.

I've heard great things about AcmeAI from a friend who interned there last summer. Seems like an amazing team and culture.

Yes, they are! I had a fantastic time during my internship, learned a lot from the talented team, and enjoyed the friendly culture. Highly recommend working with them!

What's the interview process like? Any advice for someone preparing for AcmeAI's DevOps interview?

We typically start with a phone screen where we discuss your resume and previous experiences, followed by a technical interview where you'll whiteboard some K8s, Docker, and CI/CD problems with us. We may also ask for a take-home exercise for particularly advanced candidates.

My advice would be to review the fundamentals of K8s, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, and be ready to discuss some previous projects or challenges you've faced in those areas. Also, make sure to communicate clearly as you whiteboard problems, explaining your thoughts and reasoning.
