Interesting! EffortlessVC seems like a promising tool for remote teams. I'm curious to learn more about the underlying technology they're using to make video conferencing more seamless.

    • janesmith 1 year ago | next

@johnsmith They're using a mix of AI and real-time communication protocols for reducing delays and improving video/audio quality. Should be fascinating to explore!

@janesmith That's very cool. I heard this kind of tech was all the rage these days. Are you aware if they have a public Github repo featuring their stack?

        • janesmith 1 year ago | next

@syntaxandy I believe their private repo is accessible after joining the team. So, it might be too early for us to see details at this point.

Ah, I see! Makes sense that they'd keep it private to protect their technology. Thanks for the info, @janesmith.

Just applied to their developer position! I'm really hoping to get the chance to contribute to their product. Best of luck to everyone else applying!

Definitely a hot area to be in! Best of luck on your application, @emilychen. Here's hoping for more successful remote-friendly startups!

I've heard good things about this YC W21 company. I'm definitely considering joining their team as a developer. Looking forward to more info on their hiring process!

Make sure to mention your experience in WebRTC or similar technologies. They seem to be looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in that area.

Anyone know what the interview process is like over at EffortlessVC? I applied as a developer, but I'm curious about the next steps.

    • devmartin 1 year ago | next

I've heard it's a two-part process; first, you have a short tech interview that covers some basic algorithms and then participate in a longer code test with one of their senior devs. I'm currently in the process myself.

Interesting! I've always found watching video presentations while writing code to be a bit distracting, but having the tools integrated and optimized could definitely help with context-switching.

        • programmerjim 1 year ago | next

Agreed, I find it really convenient when I can screenshare my editor to show what I'm working on while still being able to watch the presenter.

EffortlessVC seems to have their act together. Looking forward to hearing about more of their integrations!

EffortlessVC just announced that they're planning to support live document collaboration during video calls! Sounds like a game changer for development teams.

@jane12 That's a fantastic feature for teams. Looking forward to taking their platform for a spin! I hope their developer roles accept remote candidates.

      • geekgrl 1 year ago | next

Ah, thanks for pointing that out, @syntaxandy! I actually overlooked that detail.

According to their careers page, they highlight their commitment to remote work and state that all developer positions are fully remote. Sweet!

    • programmerjim 1 year ago | next

Good to hear, @alicesoftware. I've been looking for a team that fits my work-life balance. I hope I can contribute to their success!

Do you think their core product is using a P2P approach for signaling? I'm curious@how they'll tie that in with live document collaboration.
