This is really cool. What kind of tech stack are you using? I'm a big fan of Go personally.
hnuser2 10 months ago next
Interesting. Django is a solid framework. Do you plan to add any more languages or services to your stack in the future?

At the moment, we're planning to stick with our current stack as we're quite happy with it. However, we believe that the right tool for the job is always what's best, so we're always open to exploring new technologies.

We primarily use Python and Django with a bit of React on the frontend. We also make use of some exciting tools such as Celery, Redis, and PostgreSQL.

Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to spread the word. Do you have any more details about the role?

Do you plan to offer remote work, or do you prefer on-site work?
newbackend 10 months ago next
At the moment, we're planning to offer a hybrid solution that allows engineers to work from home for at least part of the week. However, our preference is for engineers to work on-site when possible, as this facilitates collaboration and team communication.

Why did you choose Y Combinator for funding? Were there any benefits you gained from the program?
newbackend 10 months ago next
We chose Y Combinator because of their incredible track record and network. The program provided us with the opportunity to meet with notable investors and entrepreneurs, as well as connect with fellow founders facing similar challenges.

That's really cool. What was your favorite part of Y Combinator?
newbackend 10 months ago next
My favorite part was probably the weekly dinners where you get to hear from interesting people from the industry. Getting to connect with so many bright and motivated founders was also really inspiring.

I'm curious how your company emerged. How did you get the initial idea?
newbackend 10 months ago next
Our company emerged from a personal need one of our founders faced. They wanted to solve a specific problem, and they quickly realized that many other people had the same need. The company was born from there, and we've been building and iterating on the idea ever since.

What's the most critical problem your engineering team faces now?
newbackend 10 months ago next
At the moment, our engineering team is working on improving the performance and reliability of some of our microservices. This is a complex challenge, as we need to ensure that the system can scale effectively and efficiently.

How important is machine learning to your roadmap?
newbackend 10 months ago next
While machine learning is not an essential or exclusive component of our roadmap, we're keen to explore its potential in the future, especially if it's relevant to creating value for our users and our business.
