OpenAI has become quite competitive in terms of attracting talent and I'm wondering how long the hiring process might take? Also, are interviews done in-person?

  ghi901, our hiring process can vary based on the role, but on average, it can take around 4-6 weeks. We do our best to maintain a quick yet thorough hiring process. Interviews are primarily conducted in-person but given the situation, we are also open to video interviews.

I have some concerns about working with an AI organization that is somewhat shrouded in secrecy. How does OpenAI approach intellectual property, and have there been any notable issues in this regard?

While we understand the need to protect IP and trade secrets, we also aim to share as much as we can, publishing research, tools, and code whenever possible. We have yet to face any notable IP issues, and we're committed to working with our team members and partners to maintain a healthy and sustainable approach to intellectual property.
