Fascinating article on the future of cloud storage! P2P encryption might just be the game changer we need.

Absolutely! Encryption is the key to secure data storage. I'm excited to learn more about the implementation.

This seems similar to Skynet Cloud, which uses P2P architecture in a private network but with decentralized encryption. Has anyone played with that?

@cloud_guy, Skynet Cloud is interesting. But I think decentralized P2P encryption would allow users to connect through any (trusted) nodes, not simply a specific private network like Skynet.

I think developers will be more drawn to the decentralized nature of P2P encryption, allowing them to maintain a high level of data control.

+1. I trust the encryption I set up myself, rather than relying on commercial cloud providers.

Is there a working prototype? Would love to test it out or see some code snippets.

You can check our GitHub repo for the prototype and some sample code!

Most cloud storage providers have their encryption system. How do you plan on making the P2P encryption more appealing?

This is an exciting development! Hopefully, this becomes a standard for cloud storage. Curious about the file recovery solutions in a P2P network. Any thoughts?

Blockchain technology might help in this case, storing recovery data and ensuring security and redundancy.
