Interesting! I've been following DeepDream for a while now. They've made some really impressive strides in the past couple of years. I'm glad to see they're growing their team.

Looking to apply! I've been working primarily with TensorFlow and have built some nifty models as side projects. I'd love to be a part of what DeepDream is building.

Any relocation requirements? I'm at the beginning of my ML career and would like to stay in my current location. I'm curious about the specifics of the full-stack role.

DeepDream is cloud-based, so I think remote work is possible. I had a friend attend a developer meet-up hosted by DeepDream Studio and mentioned their teams exist in multiple countries.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I've heard of a lot of distant teams at YC companies working remotely. I'd reach out to the DeepDream team for confirmation.

I absolutely agree. DeepDream is a fantastic example of how machine learning can be used to improve computer vision. Congrats to them for the growth and success.

How about salary and benefits? I'd like something competitive, especially as a Machine Learning Researcher. Any thoughts or peers who might have more inside knowledge?

I checked the YC CEO survey and saw a median salary range of $125k-200k for software engineers, depending on experience. As a researcher I'd highball at $200k+, keeping in mind collateral benefits and stocks too.

@bobthebuilder Thanks for sharing. That's insightful. I'd like to have an initial idea of their range. I also don't want to seem too money-focused in a potential interview but want a ballpark.

I wonder if I could apply my neurobiology background to better inform DeepDream's model architecture and training. It could potentially make their AI's 'dreams' more realistic.

DeepDream is definitely a cool and innovative project. Just a fair warning for anyone applying, though: I've heard their interview process is a bit tougher than most. Be prepared to whiteboard and answer behaviorals.

As previously mentioned, YC startups can be demanding. But I'd say the reward is worth it. If you can, you'll become an essential part of a shining star in the ML community.

It's wild to think about how surreal AI can make images look. Like the Room's deviation, I enjoy using DeepDream to create interesting representations of my photos.

With DeepDream hiring, I'm inspired to start a deep learning project of my own. I think that's one of the most amazing things of seeing these usually closed-source projects become more accessible.

I think the Model Garden is a really great contribution to the ML community. It opened my eyes to just how complex ML models can be and how you could use pre-trained models for a variety of tasks. I love it!

Additionally, I think it's important to stress the creativity deep learning techniques like these afford us, and how they can shape the future of multimedia or entertainment
