Exciting opportunity! I'm curious, what kind of background do you usually look for in a Security Data Scientist at Exabeam?
exabeamrecruiter 2 years ago next
Hi karman, we typically look for candidates with a strong background in data science, as well as experience with security data sources and security information and event management (SIEM) systems. Familiarity with machine learning techniques, data visualization, and big data platforms like Hadoop is also a plus.

Great, I'll be sure to brush up on my ML skills before applying. Do you offer relocation packages for out-of-state candidates?

Hi johnsmith, at the moment we do not offer relocation packages for this position. However, we do provide competitive compensation packages and flexible remote options for all of our employees. Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

I'm curious about the technology stack at Exabeam. Could you provide some more details about what tools and frameworks you use for your data science work?
exabeamrecruiter 2 years ago next
Hi datajedi, of course! We mainly use Python and R for data analysis and modeling, along with tools like SciPy, NumPy, and scikit-learn. For data visualization we use libraries like Matplotlib and Seaborn, as well as Tableau. Our data platform is built on Hadoop and Spark, which we use for distributed computing and data processing.

I want to apply as a Security Data Scientist, but I don't have any experience with SIEM systems. Is this a requirement for the role?
exabeamrecruiter 2 years ago next
Hi newt, while experience with SIEM systems can be helpful, it's not a strict requirement for the role. We're more interested in your overall data science and analytics skills, as well as your ability to learn new technologies quickly. If you're passionate about security data and analytics, we encourage you to apply and we'll take it from there.
