We mainly use Python and Go for the backend, with some services still in Node.js.

That sounds cool! I'm currently a Node.js developer, but if I learn Python and Go will I have a chance at this role?

Absolutely, knowledge of multiple languages and a growth mindset are valued skills! We'll consider all applications that meet the base requirements.

They also mention the need for experience with Kubernetes. What is your cloud setup?

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leverage Fargate and ECS for container orchestration along with Kubernetes orchestrated services.

Do you have an active Slack channel for the Metaverse (YC W20) team? I'd like to join and ask some questions about the culture and work environment.

No official Slack channel as of now, but you can apply for the position, and should you join the team, you'll be invited to a team communication platform like Slack or Teams.

Hey, if I apply for the Senior Backend Engineer role, can I expect a timely response, even if it's to let me know you won't be moving forward with my application?
