Just started exploring quantum computing. Any tips or resources for a beginner?

Definitely check out the Qiskit textbook! It's a great introduction to quantum computing. https://qiskit.org/textbook/preface.html

Thanks @quantum_guru, I'll check that out! @code_monkey, that one looks interesting too, I added it to my reading list!

Quantum Computing for the Very Curious by Andy Matuschak is another good resource. https://quantum.country/qcvc

How long did it take for you to feel comfortable working with quantum circuits and Qiskit? I'm overwhelmed just looking at the examples.

Give yourself a few days to go through the examples. Start with the basics like the bell state and superposition. Soon you'll get the hang of it! #quantumcomputing #qiskit

I second that! When you first start, practice putting together simple quantum circuits for basic qubit states. Then, gradually level up to the more complex stuff. #qiskit #quantum

What kind of profits are actually possible with quantum computing? Is it more than just hype?

Quantum computing escalates the race for solving certain important problems in areas like cryptography, logistics, material science & pharmaceuticals, etc. Here's a good read on it: https://www.forbes.com/sites/moorinsights/2019/04/02/quantum-computing-the-1-billion-dollar-market-that-could-drive-industry-growth/?sh=1e3432e120b4

Profits in quantum computing are not a short-term play, but building quantum skills today can position individuals and organizations for growth as problems become solvable. #quantum #quantumcomputing
