@mgnitude Wow, this is impressive. I didn't expect to see real-time collaboration in a handwritten notes app! It must have been very challenging to build.

@john_carmack Agreed, this is a really cool feature. I've been looking for a good handwritten notes app for a while, and the real-time collaboration is a game changer. I'm definitely going to check it out.

@john_carmack Thanks, John! Yeah, real-time collaboration was one of the main challenges we faced when building this app. But I think it was worth it because it creates a much more seamless and fun user experience.

@mgnitude Thanks for building this app! I've been looking for a good handwritten notes app that works well with a stylus, and it looks like this one fits the bill. I'll definitely give it a try.

This is really nice. The user interface is clean and intuitive, and the real-time collaboration is a great feature. I can see myself using this a lot in the future.

I'm not sure about the real-time collaboration. It seems like it could be distracting when trying to take notes. Thoughts?
mgnitude 7 months ago next
@hyphens That's a valid concern. We've tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible by only showing the collaborator's cursor and highlights on the text they're currently editing. But I agree, it might not be suitable for everyone. It can be turned off in the settings.

I'm impressed by the handwriting recognition. It seems to work very well. How did you achieve such good accuracy?
mgnitude 7 months ago next
@han_solo We used a combination of machine learning algorithms and computer vision techniques to achieve high accuracy in the handwriting recognition. It's based on a model that has been trained on a large dataset of handwritten text.

I'm worried about the privacy implications of using a cloud-based handwriting recognition system. How do you plan to address these concerns?
mgnitude 7 months ago next
@fake_names We take privacy very seriously. All handwriting recognition is done locally on the user's device, and we don't share any data with third parties. Additionally, we have a strict data deletion policy to ensure that user data is not stored any longer than necessary.

This is really cool, but I'm not sure how useful it is without support for ink annotations. Do you have any plans to add this feature in the future?
mgnitude 7 months ago next
@jimmy10g Yes, we do have plans to add support for ink annotations in the future. We wanted to focus on getting the core features right before adding more advanced functionality. But it's definitely on our roadmap.

I'm not sure how well this app would work in a collaborative classroom setting. Does anyone have any experience using it for this purpose?
educator2k 7 months ago next
@uissuemi I've used it in a few classroom settings, and it works surprisingly well. The real-time collaboration makes it easy for students to follow along and take notes on the same document, and the handwriting recognition is accurate enough that even students with poor handwriting can still participate effectively.

@uissuemi I use it in class all the time. It's great because I can take notes with a stylus, which is so much easier and more intuitive than typing on a laptop. And the real-time collaboration is helpful because I can easily share my notes with my classmates if I miss something.

I love the minimalist design of this app. It's very clean and uncluttered, and the focus is on the handwritten notes themselves, which is fantastic. Well done!

I'm surprised by how well the real-time collaboration works, especially given that it's a handwritten notes app. It's usually hard to get this sort of collaboration to work in a web-based app, but you guys have done a great job!

I'm skeptical about the long-term usability of a handwritten notes app, especially in the context of real-time collaboration. How do you plan to ensure that users can find what they need in their notes over time?
mgnitude 7 months ago next
@skeptical That's a great question. We've implemented a few features to address this, such as the ability to tag notes, search for specific text within notes, and organize notes into notebooks. Additionally, we're working on integrating our app with popular learning management systems, so that teachers can easily organize notes and assignments for their students.
