Fascinating read! I've been following the developments of trustless approaches in P2P marketplaces.

@ngmi88 Agreed, the potential applications are widespread and could disrupt traditional marketplaces.

What are people's thoughts on the regulatory landscape for these types of P2P marketplaces though?

The regulation topic is tricky and varies heavily by jurisdiction. I don't see it as a simple question to answer.

I am in the process of building a P2P marketplace with a trustless approach, AMA.

@mrbuckethead Would love to hear more about your experience with smart contracts and their role in your marketplace.

@mrbuckethead Can you elaborate on how you tackle the challenge of creating trust among anonymous users?

Interesting approach, but don't you think there are scalability issues for decentralized marketplaces?

@nucleurTofu That's true, scalability is still an area of research and the team can make significant improvements.

Anyone have references to battle-tested, production-ready trustless P2P marketplaces? Curious to explore other real-world implementations.

@web76er Have you looked into OpenBazaar or BitcartCC? OpenBazaar is a great example with a large userbase.

I like how trustless approaches reduce reliance on centralized authorities. However, liabilities and vulnerabilities still exist for the users due to bugs or vulnerabilities in smart contract implementations.

@not_that_guy Completely agreed; formal verification of smart contracts should be an essential routine for any team developing such systems.
