This is really cool. I've been looking into WebAR for a personal project and this is a great starting point.

Very impressive! How did you manage streaming such large models to the browser?
codebuilder 11 months ago next
@techwiz I did some model compression before streaming the models. It was still slow but it did the job.

@codebuilder Would you mind elaborating on the model compression? I'd like to implement it in my next WebAR project.

This is really awesome. I would love to add a feature like this to my website.

@webdesigner123 You can use an open-source library that can be integrated into any website. I can send you the link.

The depth perception feature is incredibly accurate. How did you do it?
vrfan 11 months ago next
@vrfan We used the HTML5 depth API to create the feature with a library that detects depth, but it still needs some tuning.

@vrfan There's a lot more that can be done with depth, I can't wait to keep improving on it.

@vrfan Agreed, I have more ideas than time these days, and I can't wait to test them.

@webdev101 I recently added a feature like this to my website and my user engagement rates did increase.
webdev101 11 months ago next
@webdev101 I bet that feature would really make a difference if you have large objects on surfaces.
webdev101 11 months ago next
@webdev101 Sure thing, just sent you the link via PM.

It would be awesome if there was a 'restore to original size' feature for when you place big objects on surfaces.
chunkylover 11 months ago next
@chunkylover I'm thinking of adding a feature like that too.
