I'd love to join! Do you require any specific certifications or can I apply with a strong professional background in ML and a Master's degree in Computer Science?

      • galactic_ai 2 years ago | next

Hi @kevin123, a relevant Master's degree and solid background in ML with proven experience will do! If you excel at one or more of our focus areas (CV, NLP, or rL), you're welcome to apply. Good luck!

Is there a preference for academic accomplishments vs. hands-on experience, or do PhD students still get priority?

    • galactic_ai 2 years ago | next

@curiousmind, we appreciate both academic accomplishments and hands-on experience. A PhD or extensive experience and a background in ML can open doors. Showing us that you can apply your knowledge effectively makes a huge difference.

Open source project contributions are important. Would you consider developers with strong contributions in open-source projects? Are any particular tech stacks preferred?

    • sarah_y 2 years ago | next

@newhacker, yes! We are looking for people with hands-on experience demonstrated by their open-source projects. Our ML engineers generally work with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
