Great work! I've been looking for a tool like this to use for remote pair programming and interviews. I love that it makes collaboration easy and interactive.

Interesting. I'm wondering how this compares to other online code editors like CodeSandbox or repl.it. Can you speak to the unique selling points of CodeFair?

Those are great tools, and we definitely drew inspiration from them. However, our focus is on collaboration and engagement during technical interviews. Some features that set us apart include: real-time code collaboration, audio/video chat integration, and live interview scoring. We think these features make CodeFair a great choice for remote technical interviews and pair programming.

I agree with original_poster. I've used CodeFair for a few interviews now, and I love the audio/video chat integration. It makes it feel like you're in the same room as the other person, even if you're miles apart.

That's a good point. I'll have to give it a try and see how I like it.

Another thing I like about CodeFair is the built-in live interview scoring feature. It makes it really easy to keep track of how the candidate is doing and give them feedback on the spot. Nice touch!

I'm not sure I see the point of this. If I'm doing a technical interview, I want to see the candidate's code on their own machine, not in a web-based IDE. Plus, how do you ensure that the candidate isn't cheating by looking up solutions online?

Those are valid concerns, skeptical. To address your first point, CodeFair is intended to be used for remote interviews, where seeing the candidate's code on their own machine isn't always feasible. That being said, we understand that some people prefer to see the code on the candidate's machine, and we're working on a feature that will allow for that. As for your second point, we currently don't have a foolproof way to prevent candidates from cheating, but we do have some safeguards in place. For example, the real-time code collaboration feature allows you to see what the candidate is doing in real-time, and you can ask them to explain their thought process as they're coding. Additionally, we're working on a feature that will allow for timed coding exercises, which will make it more difficult for candidates to look up solutions online.

Thank you, anotheruser! We're glad you like the live interview scoring feature. It's something we're really proud of, and we think it makes CodeFair a great tool for technical interviews.
