This is fantastic news! I've always enjoyed using HN for the latest in technology and startups, and I can't wait to see how this role will enhance the platform. +1 for Curators!

It would be great if new voices could bring an even wider array of topics to Hacker News, especially underrepresented areas in technology!

the_real_bit, I just applied as well! It would be amazing to connect with fellow Curators to learn from each other. Do you think there might be an opportunity to establish a Curator community during onboarding?

What makes a good Curator, and what responsibilities would they fulfill? Hoping to learn more!

A good Curator, in my opinion, should have in-depth knowledge about a variety of fields as well as the great storytelling ability to present interesting content in an engaging way. Some responsibilities could include general submission, review, and moderation, as well as reaching out to potential content sources.
