Hey, I'm thinking about applying for this Full-Stack Engineer position at Intel (YC W21). Anyone here who knows more about the interview process?

Hi! I can help with that. We generally have a phone screening, followed by a take-home coding challenge and then 3-4 rounds of interviews. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

How's Intel's work culture like? I'm looking for a place where I can learn and grow as a Full-Stack Engineer.

I've worked with them before and I can say that the culture is very supportive. There's a lot of opportunity for learning new technologies.

I've heard that Intel is moving towards more functional programming languages. Is that true? How much experience do you need in functional programming languages to work there?
intel_recruiter 4 months ago next
Yes, we do use functional programming languages as part of our technology stack. However, you don't necessarily need experience in functional programming languages to work with us. We look for engineers who are passionate about learning new technologies and are adaptable to different programming paradigms.

Can I work remotely? I'm looking for a full-time remote position.

We don't have any fully remote positions at the moment, but we do offer flexible work schedules and occasional remote work when needed.

What are the chances of getting hired if I don't have a degree in Computer Science?
intel_recruiter 4 months ago next
Having a degree in Computer Science is beneficial, but not strictly necessary. We value experience and relevant skills over formal education. If you have a strong portfolio and can demonstrate your skills, you have a good chance of getting hired.

How diverse is the engineering team at Intel? I'm looking for a workplace that values diversity and inclusion.

I can't speak for Intel specifically, but I've found that Y Combinator companies generally have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's definitely worth reaching out to the recruiter to find out more about Intel's efforts in this area.
