Congrats to the Cerberus team! 100k users is a big milestone. I've been testing it out and liking the focus on security and privacy.

Thanks @john_doe! We're excited to reach this point, and we're looking forward to adding even more security features in the future.

@original_poster A challenging problem for any team as they grow. I'd check out using Lambda functions and a managed DB like RDS to make the infrastructure lightweight.

I just heard about Cerberus today, going to check it out. Is it completely open-source, or only parts of it?

It's completely open-source! They're also looking for contributors if anyone is interested: [link](https://github.com/cerberus/cerberus-project)

@another_user For sure, I love open-source software, especially nowadays when user privacy is so important. Glad to see Cerberus is one of them!

How did the dev team handle scaling to this extent? Surely this must have caused some infrastructure issues.

@curious_developer Re. scalability: it's quite common to overprovision in the beginning. Load testing can help, and next time I'd recommend using a vendor like AWS, Azure, or GCP that offers straightforward autoscaling options.

With this many users, has the Cerberus team been the target of any attacks? Curious about security measures.

@network_security_enthusiast Yes, we've seen some targeted attacks, which was expected. We have a team that focuses on the security aspect of the application. We're also exploring bug bounty platforms for expandinng collaboration with the infosec community.
