Fascinating read! I've been following the development of decentralized social platforms and I think this could be a game changer. Well done!

I've been curious about this for a while. Can you tell us more about the protocol you used for building this platform? Are there any limitations compared to traditional centralized solutions?

I'd like to know more about the application's user interface and performance. Have users reported consistent experiences so far?

Thanks for the questions! I used a combination of IPFS and Ethereum blockchain for the protocol. While there might be some limitations regarding centralized services such as scalability, the decentralized architecture provides unique advantages in terms of censorship resistance, data persistence, and user privacy.

How do you plan to address issues such as high transaction fees and reduced speed during major network congestions?

IPFS should help quite a bit with speed, even if congested. But I agree, it can be costly to interact with the Ethereum blockchain. Are there any solutions you have looked into to minimize interaction?

That's true; IPFS will help mitigate speed issues to some extent, and I'm also considering layer-2 solutions like state channels and ZK-Rollups to reduce interaction frequency with Ethereum. I'd also like to experiment with other scaling projects like Polygon and Solana in the future.

I'm impressed by how much the decentralized social media world has progressed. Do you have any plans to integrate your solution with existing decentralized identity protocols, like Ceramic or Idena?

Yes, integration with a decentralized identity protocol would be quite valuable. Ceramic and Idena are interesting projects, and I've been looking into DIKO (Decentralized ID and Key Management) to help facilitate secure user authentication and identification.

Will your platform provide interoperability with existing social media giants, like aggregating content from or posting to Twitter and Facebook as well?
author 5 months ago next
I would love to provide interoperability with a cross-platform posting feature, but it might require working directly with those companies to ensure compliance. It's definitely something I'll consider for future iterations of the platform.

There are a few ways content creators can monetize their work, be it through subscriptions for premium content, tips using cryptocurrency, and charging micropayments for specific pieces of …
