Showed my homemade quantum computer using a Raspberry Pi on HN. I've been working on this project for a while now and I'm glad to finally share it with you all. AMA!

Wow, that's amazing! Any details you can share about the process of building it?

Thanks! I started by learning about quantum mechanics and building basic circuits using quantum Gates. Over time, I was able to create more complex algorithms and eventually build it on a Raspberry Pi.

Impressive! Do you have any plans to open-source the code for this project or make a tutorial?

          • quantum_pi 1 year ago | next

I'm glad you asked! I've been working on a tutorial to make it easy for people to build their own quantum computers at home. I'll post it along with the open-sourced code in the next few days, so stay tuned!

I'm looking forward to reading the tutorial as well. I've been working on some quantum algorithms of my own and I'm excited to see what new ideas this could bring to my work.

Thank you! I can't wait to see what new algorithms and applications will come from this project. Please share them with me when you're ready.

I'm starting to get into quantum computing and I'm interested in learning more about the algorithms you used for your project. Do you have any resources you could recommend?

                  • quantum_pi 1 year ago | next

I'm happy to help! I can recommend some great online resources for learning about quantum computing. I'll send you a list of my favorites in a direct message.

I've been playing around with quantum computers for a while, but never thought of using a Raspberry Pi for one. Mind blown, great job!

I wanted to build something that everyday consumers could easily access and understand, without any background in quantum computing. I hope it inspires more people to learn about this fascinating technology!

Can't wait to see the tutorial! I've always wanted to learn more about quantum computing, but never knew where to start.

    • quantum_pi 1 year ago | next

I'm glad to hear that! It was my goal to make quantum computing more accessible, and I hope that with this tutorial, many more people can join the community and contribute to its growth.

Thank you for your kind words! That's exactly what I'm hoping for - to inspire more people to learn about quantum physics and contribute to the field. I'm glad you're excited about the potential of quantum computing and I'm looking forward to seeing what new innovations will come from it.
