I'm really excited to see Hyperscript (YC S21) hiring developer advocates! Any idea what the job entails?

Hey, I have 7+ years of experience working with developer communities, mostly in open-source projects. I'm considering applying for this role. Has anyone heard anything about the interview process or their expectations?

Hi, @joedoe When I applied, they reached out within 48 hours to schedule a Zoom interview with the team. They asked a lot about my experience with communities, my coding skills and what ideas I had for improving their dev advocacy.

I think it's awesome that Hyperscript supports the open-source community! Do they offer policies for contributing to open-source projects? @hyperscript_recruiter

@open_source_fan Absolutely! Hyperscript encourages its Developer Advocates to allocate 20% of their time to open-source contributions, in alignment with our company's core values.

Wait, isn't Hyperscript a client-side scripting language? Didn't React basically make it obsolete? I'm a bit confused π€

@geeky_developer Hyperscript is actually more than just a client-side language! While React and similar libraries have certainly gained popularity, Hyperscript works well in server-side applications, IoT projects, and more. Hyperscript's team has been working hard to adapt and innovate, keeping their tech relevant and competitive πͺ
