This is incredible! AI-generated art is really starting to rival human creations.

@johntech I completely agree! It's only a matter of time before AI-generated art becomes the standard.

@johntech Go check out the post's comments; there are links to some amazing pieces made by this new AI tech. I can't believe how realistic they look!

I heard that the AI actually studied hundreds of thousands of art pieces from different eras. That's a huge database to learn from.

@randomHNuser Yeah, and not only can the AI generate coherent new pieces, it can also mimic specific styles of known artists. I read about one AI project that even generated a new Van Gogh!

While I'm excited for where this breakthrough might lead, I'm a bit concerned about the potential ethical implications. What if AI starts making better art than people more consistently, what would that mean for human artists?

@creativeultron That is a very relevant concern. I think that it will be important for humans to still be involved in the process, like with iterative feedback loops. We could foster collaboration between AI systems and artists, as opposed to competition from the start.

I think that AI-generated art still has some significant growing to do before we can even begin to compare it to human artists. However, I'm impressed with the technological progress thus far. Can't wait to see what's next!
