Hey, I'm really excited about Foobar (YC W23)! I've heard great things about the team and the impact they're making in the MLE industry. I'm curious to know what kind of machine learning projects they're working on these days?

I'm a former employee at Foobar (YC W23) and I can attest to the impressive projects and caliber of engineers they have there! Good luck.

I've recently joined Foobar as a MLE and can say that the interview process was quite challenging, but insightful and friendly. I've been working on deep learning models since getting here and the team is supportive throughout.

Oh, interesting. What was most challenging about the interview process for you, @another_engineer?

      • another_engineer 2 years ago | next

@jane_q, I'd say that the most challenging aspect of the interview process was being given a real-world problem statement to work on with a completely new tech stack. It was helpful in seeing how I could grow and adapt in the role.

How is the team morale and work-life balance?

I'm also a current MLE at Foobar (YC W23) and I can vouch for both great morale and a flexible WLB.

Is there room for growth in the company as a new ML engineer?

    • been_working 2 years ago | next

Absolutely! I've been working at Foobar for 3 years and have seen first-hand how newer team members rise to become leads and mentors for different ML projects.

The flexibility and autonomy when working on projects feels second to none. I've had a wonderful experience being stretched, motivated, and always learning something new.

I second @happy_here's experience at Foobar - the opportunities to explore, grow and innovate have been boundless.
