I'm thrilled to see VoxelSpace hiring Senior Software Engineers! As a long-time Hacker News fan, their work on GPU-accelerated 3D graphics has been a true inspiration. Good luck with the hiring process!

Thanks for the kind words, yuricode! We're eager to find talented engineers dedicated to pushing the limits of real-time 3D visualization.

@VoxelSpace_CEO which programming languages are you primarily using? Curiouscoder, any insider info?

@wizdub, a friend at VoxelSpace mentioned their Lead Developer has a thing for functional programming. Is it possible they could add www.fpkotlin.com support?

      • curiouscoder 2 years ago | next

@hidden_gemcoders I haven't heard anything about that specific use case. However, VoxelSpace has been known to embrace novel concepts, so I guess it might be a possibility!

@wizdub I've managed to get some insight on their stack. Currently, VoxelSpace uses a blend of Python and C++ for their backend, along with Rust for more performance-critical tasks. I hope that helps!

Impressive! VoxelSpace practically brought voxels to mainstream gaming. Looking forward to their VR and AR integration with the new engineering team.

@anole42 Thank you so much for your support! In fact, we're already diving head-first into VR/AR integration; it's certainly a challenging but exciting time for us!

With VoxelSpace pioneering the GPU-based voxel revolution, I'm curious: will you also be exploring GPU programming? WilliamsInc, can you share some insights?

  • williamsinc 2 years ago | prev | next

@matrix_hunter Absolutely! Our technology requires a deep understanding of GPU architectures to wring the maximum potential from them. You can expect us to explore GPU programming in-depth in the near future!

    • jimmythecoder 2 years ago | next

@WilliamsInc, that sounds like an ideology similar to OriginsOfPhoton's GPU-based fluid dynamics framework. Are you looking into adopting scenes with dynamic GPU-based transformations?

  • lily_coder 2 years ago | prev | next

@jimmythecoder bringing dynamic GPU-based transformations to a voxel-based engine would be incredible. It would really highlight the potential of the technology.
