Totally agree, dicarlo2! I'm excited to see how this will improve the overall quality of the submissions.

Just curious - what's the compensation for the content curators?

@stoopid huge: The content curators are passionate volunteers who contribute their time and expertise to help the HN community.

Maybe in the future, HN can offer some perks or incentives for the volunteers. I think it'd be worth considering.

Will there be any requirements for the content curators, like a minimum number of submissions to review or specific categories to focus on?

We're looking for experienced HN users who have a track record of good submissions and comments. No set number of submissions or categories to focus on.

Any plans to automate this process using AI/ML algorithms in the future?

I think having actual humans to curate the submissions is more valuable since algorithms tend to make mistakes. However, it would be interesting to see how an AI/ML approach could augment the process.

Low-quality content and spam has been a pain point for HN for some time now. Looking forward to seeing how this works out!
