Interesting! Any particular tech stack or expertise they're looking for?

Hi sharkfins, we are looking for someone with experience in Node.js and some familiarity with cloud services like AWS.

This sounds exciting. I've been wanting to apply my skills in Node.js to a new challenge. I'll apply for sure.

@jillthecoder, great! We look forward to reviewing your application. Thanks for expressing interest in Infinite Labs!

Node.js, huh? Isn't Go the hotness right now for backends?

It depends on the use case, I think. Last I checked, Node.js has a stronger ecosystem for real-time applications.

Node.js has a solid real-time communication library called Socket.IO. I've been using it for the past 5 years in various projects. Works wonders, even for larger scale applications.

I couldn't agree more with infiniTech! Socket.IO definitely has a special place in my toolbox, too. I wonder if they'd prefer functional or object-oriented patterns for Node.js development though.

In my experience, Infinite Labs is open to either approach. The most essential thing is a clean and maintainable codebase.

@h4ck3rm4n, it really depends on the project requirements, not just what's 'hot' right now.

@sharkfins, true that. I just hope they're not stuck with an outdated stack in a few years.

Experience with AWS is a huge plus, I see? I wonder if GCP or Azure experience would count for anything.

GCP and Azure might be relevant, but they're looking for AWS-specific features, I believe.

@justacoder, AWS-specific experience is probably what they're looking for, but don't hesitate to apply if you have relevant experience in GCP or Azure.

I'm curious about the interview process. Is there a coding challenge or whiteboard session involved?
infinitelabs-recruiter 2 years ago next
@futuredev, we typically start with a phone screening to assess the candidate's communication skills. If that goes well, we proceed with a coding challenge followed by a more in-depth interview, where we discuss the candidate's problem-solving approach and technical expertise.
